Introduction

The hollow shaft with the curvic coupling of the locomotive bogie

In order to settle the contradictions among that the hollow shaft  of the bogie rotates at a high speed and is acted by the powerful   driving and braking moment but the small space of jointing structure, linking structure of the End-toothed Disc with the Circular-arc

teeth is the best choice. Compared with the End-toothed Disc with

the Straight teeth, The End-toothed Disc with the Circular-arc teeth

is of the bigger strength of the teeth contacting surfaces and the  teeth roots, satisfying the requirements of functions that tailors thedriving system of the locomotive with the big power to the End-toothed of the couplings, prolonging service life of the End-toothed

Discs. The curvic coupling is a coupling with a special structure,    which is widely used for modern rotor of the aero engine in Europe andAmerica. The couplings in the driving system of the locomotive link upwith the rotor of the motor and gear driving system, transmitting the torque from the motor. With development of the high-speed-oriented

and heavy-load oriented in the railroad construction, the driving

system of the locomotive with the bigger power requires the capabilityof the coupling higher and higher.
